“Reality Check: The Hepatitis C Epidemic is the new documentary film examining one of the most important health issues our country will have to face in the next 5 to 15 years.

The film gives a select few Hepatitis C patients the chance to express themselves and educate the public with firsthand accounts of their stories about the disease and how it has affected their lives. Some interviews take place over the course of several years, giving the audience the opportunity to see both the successes and difficulties of treating this terrible condition.

“Reality Check: The Hepatitis C Epidemic also examines the methods of treatment currently available: both traditional Western as well as the more mysterious Asian philosophies are discussed by their practitioners.

“Reality Check: The Hepatitis C Epidemic” has interviews with some of the top medical practitioners specializing in the fields of gastroenterology, liver transplantation, and viral hepatitis.

Additionally, the documentary takes a look at the high rate of infection in the U.S. prison population as well as the U.S. military and examines what these organizations are doing to control the situation within their respective organizations.
The mission of “Reality Check: The Hepatitis C Epidemic” is to inform the public in a creative and intelligent documentary format about an upcoming yet very real medical emergency that will test the very limits of our medical community.
